Who is Itachi?

Itachi Uchiha is the first child of the Uchiha clan and the older brother of Sasuke. The Uchiha clan formed the Shinobi village with their rivals, the Senju clan. When he was born, he had the powerful skills of a ninja and was known the best of all. Itachi studied at the Academy for Shinobi and, at the age of 11, was a captain at Anbu.

He had faced some major cruelty in his childhood and therefore wanted to remove evil from the world. Itachi carried out a massacre of his clan except for his brother Sasuke. Itachi used to take care of his brother when they were young. He used to watch Sasuke train and excel in his skills. Sasuke and Itachi had a great brotherly bond. After the bloodshed, Sasuke wanted to protect his brother. After Itachi’s death, he still protected Sasuke against any danger.

What Events led to the killing of the Uchiha clan?

Many clans had been opposed to the Uchihas since the formation of the Hidden Leaf villages. One of the main reasons for this opposition was the revolution of the Uchihas against the Konoha village. The Uchiha clan had a vulnerability to emotions and had a curse on them known as the “Curse of Hatred”. For the past thousand years, the Uchiha clan did have good terms with the Senju clan. Many battles were fought between them without any reason.

The other reasons for the opposition were the attack of nine tail foxes and mistrust of the people that the Uchihas do not want to prevail in peace. As a result, the Uchihas were restricted to the outskirts of the village, which made the Uchihas lose their temper. Itachi’s father sent Itachi as a spy in the village and sent Dazno, who was one of the founders of Konohagakure. Itachi wanted to maintain peace and started double spying.

Why did Itachi kill his clan?

After Itachi entered the Anbu village, he told Danzo about the plans of his father. Danzo had a plan in mind and tried to manipulate Itachi. He convinced Itachi that their clan was trying to create violence and that it could only be stopped with a massacre.

Danzo knew Itachi was one of the best ninjas and could help him get rid of the Uchihas clan. To gain the trust of Itachi, Danzo stole Shisui’s eye and made his plan successful. Itachi was convinced and agreed with Danzo on the bloodshed, but he wanted to save the lives of innocent people and avoid a Shinobi war. Danzo said that they would spare Sasuke’s life if Itachi helped him.

Itachi loved his brother more than anything and could do anything for him. Itachi was told that if he was not successful in his mission, the Uchiha clan would start a new war and things would not turn out well. After Itachi swore his loyalty to Konoha and village Shinobi, he killed all the members of his clan except for his younger brother.

Itachi was successful in killing all the members of the Uchiha clan except for children and women. Itachi has paired with Tobi to kill the remaining ones and developed a strategy to kill them. However, Itachi told Sasuke the truth about the bloodshed and that he had only killed his parents. The real side of the story was that Tobi did all of the massacres.

What were the Consequences of the Massacre?

Did Itachi regret his decision to kill his clan?

Itachi did not regret his decision to kill his clan. The only thing that bothered him was that he had never told Sasuke about his plans. If he had told Sasuke, he would never have been able to complete the mission assigned to him. Itachi was able to see into the future and knew that Sasuke would not be able to defeat Madara and Obito on his own.

If the Uchiha clan had not been sacrificed, the Shinobi village would not have been safe against the infinite Tsukuyomi or other dangers. Later, Sasuke and Naruto were able to defeat Madara and Obito and save the village from Tsukuyomi.
